Beauty Boarding, located in Old Dhaka, was one of the notable places of literary and cultural gathering in Bangladesh. During the freedom movement, beauty boarding became a meeting place for artists, poets, and politicians. The Pakistan army attacked here on 28th March 1971. They killed seventeen people, including Prahlad Chandra Saha, the owner of Beauty Boarding, and took away their bodies.
