On the night of March 25, 1971, the Pakistan Army started genocide all over the country including Dhaka. They killed many people in Dhaka that night. Over the next few days, they organized various crimes, including genocide, in different parts of Dhaka, especially in the Hindu-dominated old Dhaka. One such murder took place at Loharpul of Sutrapur police station. They shot and killed 14 innocent Hindus. Babul Dey was an eyewitness to this incident when he was a teenager. His two brothers were killed that day and his father survived the injury.
